Position 1: TWG Assistant Officer

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Basic computer skill.  
  • Knowledge on Health and safety procedure
  • Diploma or Degree in customer service, management or relate field
Main purpose of job:

To assist the general operation of technical work group (TWG) office – in related with work request process, staff management, control and record keeping.  Supporting the department to achieve its goal by helping customers get a quality service.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To deputise for the TWG office manager in their absence.
  • First point of contact for work request enquires submitted to the technical team.
  • HERA : Raising requisitions (purchase order ) and receiving goods and services.
  • Answering phone calls and emails taking messages photocopying etc
  • Estate record keeping, inputting information on IT package, updating work progress, Recording the staff annual leave, preparing monthly overtime sheet.
  • Process works requests and Preventive planned maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Record all completed works requests including costs.
  • Pyramid: Entering maintenance information.
  • Processing day labours weekly payment and passing on to accounts.
  • Check all TWG vehicle journey sheets.
  • Check fuel distribution list and send it to the transport team every month.
  • Updating the information board – Ensure that information is passed on to TWG staff without computer access.
Language requirements: 

Language: Amharic and English, Level of language required: Fluent 

Salary: USD 397.42 – 596.08 per month


Position 2: Senior Programme Manager – British Office Sudan

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A strong and credible leader, who will able to deliver through others
  • A strong understanding of Programme and Project management (PPM) processes, procedures and best practice
  • The resilience to manage multiple projects/programmes concurrently, with the ability to take the initiative and manage own workload
  • Proven financial and risk management knowledge, to support effective programme delivery
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, and challenge implementing partners when required
  • Effective line-management and commitment to personal development of team-members to build capability within the programme delivery profession
The British Office Sudan (BOS) are looking to recruit capable, motivated, and experienced individuals to join the Programme Hub to lead and support delivery of our development and humanitarian programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure our programmes deliver results for Sudanese people through excellence in programme, financial, risk and commercial management. The post requires the ability to build trusted and influential relationships with suppliers and partners to deliver effectively. In all cases, the role will include managing the programme cycle, risk, finances, engaging with implementing partners, driving forward implementation, and ensuring programmatic compliance. The postholder will be working closely with a range of delivery partners including multilaterals, international and Sudanese NGOs, and private sector suppliers.

Salary: USD 1,603.08


Position 3: Programme Manager – British Office Sudan

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A good understanding of Programme and Project management (PPM) processes, procedures and best practice.
  • The resilience to manage multiple projects/programmes concurrently, with the ability to take the initiative and manage own workload.
  • Proven financial management capabilities, including accuracy, attention to detail and a proven ability to accurately forecast and manage expenditure.
  • Strong experience in managing risks and issues.
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, and challenge implementing partners when required.  
  • Flexibility and willingness to support colleagues as and when necessary, not just on PPM work.
