  • supervises Adama Logistics operation including the dispatch plan from 06 warehouse compounds, encompassing a total of 16 stores with capacity 100000 Mt in Adama as per approved FRNs allocaitons.
  • His meticulous planning ensures that sufficient storage capacity is maintained to accommodate all incoming stock from upstream i.e., Djibouti, Berbera, Moyale and local purchase.
  • To ensure the dispatch plan share with fleet and commercial for loading plan and timely delivery to the final destination as per the FRNs.
  • To ensure sufficient storage capacity available to receive the food commodities as per the monthly food requirement.
  • Monitors all the dispatches are recorded in LESS as per the approved FRNs, project number and CP locations.
  • To gather the updated information, regarding the routes for each FDPs, before the dispatches and inform the transporters.
  • To coordinate and follow up with outsourcing companies that are providing the services at the warehouses.
  • To consolidate the utilization of the warehouse for WFP and humanitarian organizations as part of common storage services under the Logistics Cluster.
  • To conduct market assessments and engagement with entities to assess and identify potential logistics service providers.
  • To support the implementation of WFP deliveries/convoys in and outside of Oromia Region.
  • To Analyse daily stock movement in Adama.
  • To ensure and follow up all the vendor invoicing processes and update as per the WFP IPSAS.
  • Oversight of the commodities accounting and ensure all the WFP corporate tools are follow and used.
  • To ensure the capacity building of the warehouse team in LESS and food handling management.
  • Support in LESS system documents release, data extraction, reporting and analysis for Adama Logistical activities.
  • Support in the verification of vendor invoices rendering services at Adama. (Transport, outsource handling companies).
  • Back up and acting as OIC in the absence of Head of Sub Office Adama.
