Embassy of the United Arab Emirates Job Vacancies 2024:

Embassy of the United Arab Emirates invites interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Accountant

Qualification: Bachelor of Accounting (or equivalent) and 2 years of practical work experience, or Master of Accounting (or equivalent) and one year of experience.

Scope of Work:

  • Follow-up, collect, record and monitor movement of revenues, taxes and debts. Audit, verify and check their compliance with accounting records and prepare necessary documents for making adjustment with authorized banks Provide advice to staff and diplomats on security and safety issues.
  • Prepare monthly trial balance, monthly match of bank accounts as well as daily matching accounts with petty cash fund and various accounts. Provide protection to self and others including administration of First Aid as required.
  • Prepare the draft budget, annual inventory statements, balance sheets, financial reports as well as financial and statistical accounting data
  • Any other jobs assigned to by the embassy

Position 2: Executive Secretary

Qualification: High school, 10 years of work experience, or a diploma in secretarial and office management (or equivalent), five years of work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in management (or equivalent), and two years of practical work experience

Scope Of Work:

  • Organize and monitor the appointments and agenda of the Head of Mission, and official visiting Arrange meetings with officials of the host country and prepare all relevant documents and papers required.
  • Develop lists of the names of prominent figures, national events of the host country, and send out invitations, congratulations, and condolence letters in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate holding of internal and external meetings and visits by the Head of Mission, and carry out logistics and security arrangements in coordination with relevant bodies within and outside the Mission
  • Any other jobs assigned to by the Embassy.

Position 3: Receptionist

Qualification: High school, 3 years of work experience, or a management diploma (or equivalent), and 2 years of work experience, or a bachelor’s degree in management and public relations (or equivalent) without experience.

Scope Of Work:

  • Professionally and politely, welcome and bid farewell to guests and visitors. Maintain visitor’s information log, check up their IDs and direct them to relevant locations conducting information audits.
  • Respond to visitors and customer’s general inquiries or refer them to concerned bodies.
  • Any other jobs assigned to by the Embassy.

Position 4: Operator

Qualification: High school, 3 years of work experience, or a management diploma (or equivalent), and 2 years of work experience, or a bachelor’s degree in management and public relations (or equivalent) without experience

Scope of Work:

  • Answer incoming calls and provide callers with the requested information
  • Handle calls, inquiries and complaints in a polite and professional manner
  • Transfer calls to appropriate personnel or departments
  • Take messages and forward them to the relevant parties
  • Ensure callers’ satisfaction by providing accurate information in a timely manner
  • Follow communication procedures and standards
  • Answer and make local and international phone calls professionally and politely, and redirect such calls to relevant stakeholders.
  • Reception and farewell guests of the Embassy.
  • Quickly respond to incoming and outgoing calls and do not leave the workplace
  • Any other jobs assigned to by the Embassy

Position 5: Interpreter / Translator

Qualification: BA in Languages (or equivalent) and 5 years of field work experience / or Master of Science (or equivalent) and 3 years of experience / or PhD in Languages (or equivalent) and 1 year of experience

Scope Of Work:

  • Knowledge of the general subject and technical field of the material to be interpreted
  • Intimate familiarity with more than two cultures
  • Solid general education and extensive vocabulary in more than two languages
  • Ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely in more than two languages
  • Excellent note-taking techniques for consecutive interpreting
  • Translating news and articles from any source requested local newspapers, and other recourses.
  • Edit correspondence and letters and revise, review and improve the wording of texts written in Arabic, Translation of documents and the incoming and outgoing letters from  and to the Embassy
  • Preparation of reports on conferences and meetings that the Embassy participated in.
  • Any other jobs assigned to by the Embassy.
Skills and Experience:

  • Communication and dealing with other-
  • Working in a team spirit
  • Managing time and work pressures Excellent Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Excellent language skills in English, Arabic and Amharic more language skills is an advantage
