About the Department


As Africa Technology Services (ATS), our objective is to provide the firm and our people with the means, knowledge and technical support to fulfil our professional responsibilities. The ATS division serves as a support function at Deloitte and is comprised of the following teams: 

  • PMO – Project Management Office
  • BMS – Business Management Services
  • SAP – Systems, Applications and Products
  • IAAS - Infrastructure as a service
  • BSASI – ATS Business Analysis
  • CAD - Centre of Application Development
  • USS – User Support Services

Deloitte East Africa currently has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Internal Clients Services DepartmentAfrica Technology Services (ATS) as an Information Technology (IT) Associate. This position will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.


Job Description

Main purpose of the job 


The holder of this position will ensure that there is effective user support and customer service by providing technical support over the phone and in person and maintaining the smooth operation of the IT Infrastructure.


What you will do

  • Respond to questions from callers and walk-ins; remotely, staff, and faculty with technology problems in Deloitte offices;
  • Independently assists teams to deliver services within defined strategic objectives;
  • Actively works to address identified development areas;
  • Effectively use time, equipment, and resources;
  • Install commonly used software or assist users in installing the same;
  • Ensure antiviruses are up to date;
  • Assist in the training of users on commonly used software for utilities;
  • Ensure user laptops or PC’s have up to-date software patches and updates as agreed by ATS department;
  • Installation of basic hardware components such as PC and lap-top Network cards, Modems etc.;
  • Basic hardware and software trouble shooting skills of PC’s and Laptops;
  • Follow standard Help Desk operating procedures; accurately log all Help Desk contacts using call tracking software;
  • Inform users on computer usage policies; and
  • Research innovation and trends related to business as directed by line for use in enhancement of service offerings to clients.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or relevant field;
  • 2 Years Relevant Work Experience with knowledge in ITIL service operation processes; and
  • Professional qualification is an added advantage.
