Wasasa Microfinance has been providing financial services to the poor communities since the year 2000. The company is now wants to recruit qualified and competent applicant on the following job position.
Wasasa Microfinance S.C. was established by Oromo Self-Reliance Association (OSRA), a local NGO and got a Microfinancing Business License No. MFI/017/2000 from National Bank of Ethiopia on September 20, 2000. Since then the Company has been working with poor communities (mainly the rural poor) by providing savings and credit services; it currently has 51 Branches and 24 Rural Banks which are operating in 58 Woredas of Oromia Regional State with a plan to expand every year.
Position: Marketing Expert
Desired Qualifications:
- The applicant should have BA/MA/MBA in Marketing Management, Economics or related fields of study; and should have at least 6/4 years of relevant work experience out of which 2 years in officer position.
Essential requirement:
The Marketing Expert is responsible for all efforts related to customers` needs analysis, new products/services development, attraction and relation of customers as well conducting market research.
She/he selects sources of information/data and analyzes data and maintains the marketing information and database relevant to make appropriate marketing decisions in the areas of product design, channel selection, promotion and pricing or interest rate setting.
Specific duties:
- Performance activities of market research and product development as well consolidation of plans and reports
- Conducts market survey and analysis of actual and potential markets for new or existing products or services.
- Monitors profitability and performance of existing products and services.
- Suggests new products/service or areas that need improvement based on market research output.
- Assist the provision of training to field staff in the areas of marketing.
