Job Description:

Duty Station: Legehidha โ€‹and Dawasere Woredas of East Bale Zone

Major Responsibility

  • Ensure the timely and proper implementation community level Nutrition Activities in close coordination with community structures
  • Facilitate Nutritional screening activities in close coordination with WDAs and HEWs
  • Implement and provide technical support for TFP on (IDPs), and mobilization of community, and nutritional screening for both host & IDPs
  • Conduct regular cooking demonstration and mass awareness creation sessions
  • Ensure linkage of OTP/SC discharges, to distribution of protection and TSF ration (If applicable), in order to prevent further deterioration.
  • Ensure Job aids are available in Health posts (HEW quick reference, Look up table, report format, and other awareness creation guidance

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum two years working experience with NGOs in CMAM program;

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • BSc degree/in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing/Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges

Certificates on:

  • Revised 2019 IMAM guideline, and IYCF-E training
  • Trained on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Knowledge, training and experience in community level nutrition activities and management of MAM and SAM with/without medical complication is additional assets
  • Demonstrated skills in Community level structures with CMAM program planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good human relation skills.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions.
  • Strong adherence to World Vision values.
  • Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity and integrity.
  • Prepared to live and work in a remote and uncertain security environment
  • Fluent in oral and written English and Amharic.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Willingness to work in SC and OTP
