MSH-led USAID Eliminate TB Project in collaboration with NTBLLD has planned to collate, analyze, scientifically compile, and write reports and articles using nationally available data to generate evidence on the process to end TB. These are systematic reviews of the TB burden in Ethiopia, trends in the epidemiologic shift of TB epidemic in Ethiopia over the last decades based on different geographic locations, and modeling of TB burden based on different shock conditions in Ethiopia to forecast the disease burden for the coming period. This warrants data triangulation from TB disease burden, poverty level, weather conditions, population, nutrition, and incidence modeling. This will be the first evidence to comprehensively assess other non-health factors that drive TB epidemics in the country. It might be an input for policy change regarding the TB strategic plan in the country.
