Job Summary:
To provide and develop opportunities for students to participate in creative arts activities which
foster an attitude of positive school spirit and pride. To encourage all students to demonstrate
Christ-like character in their appreciation and participation in the arts.




Duties & Responsibilities: With Students
▪ Oversee the development of a strong and vibrant creative arts culture
▪ Develop the delivery of quality arts curriculum
▪ Develop the arts performances at school through curriculum and after school activities
such as
o Drama: Plays, musical theatre
o Dance: Musical Theatre, performances
▪ Support the development of creativity (acting and speaking) skills of the students
o Encourage students in the area of drama to explore and learn new skills
o Encourage students specifically in the area of presenting themselves and
roles/information before an audience


▪ Ensure that classes are equipped with supplies that students will need for successful
drama lessons
▪ Keep students informed of opportunities
▪ Encourage a positive atmosphere within the school




Duties & Responsibilities: To Staff
▪ Organise and facilitate parent and teacher helpers for the above activities
▪ Organise and support staff, tutors and volunteers in the Arts programs
▪ Work with teachers, supporting them as they prepare and deliver grade-level programs
▪ Communicate with staff regularly in order to ascertain how best to work with them in the
drama area
▪ Liaise with art teachers about sets for programs

▪ Work with staff to adjust scripts, create roles, assign parts and be there for rehearsals and
performances, whenever required

▪ Organise and facilitate parent and teacher helpers for the above activities
▪ Ensure regular communication is maintained regarding all events though the Bingham
Bulletin and letters to parents

▪ Maintain inventory of arts equipment (costumes, sets, etc.), as well as purchase new
equipment when needed within the budget provided

▪ Participate in student chapel regularly
▪ Participate in school activities outside of class time according to interest and need
▪ Actively supervise students during breaks and before/after school as scheduled
▪ Comply with reasonable directions given by a supervisor/principal/leadership

Terms of Service:
▪ Working hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm but must be willing to work overtime
during afternoons and weekends
▪ When sick or in an emergency you will inform your supervisor...................... Put a
request through Bamboo HR.
▪ Except for emergencies, do not use your personal phone to check social media etc. while
on duty
▪ The rules and regulations in the employee /staff handbook are part of the terms of service
▪ Maintain proper certification (ie. ACSI certifications, teaching licences, etc.), as relevant, in
order to keep your work permit
▪ Consult HR and your supervisor before planning Special Leave or Extended Leave
