SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As IT Support Specialist you will ensure that end user experience is always at desired levels by providing day to day support on all IT related matters and interactions or incidents from Caretaker SMAX to enable optimal productivity and efficiency in day-to-day operations for penguins in the local company.

This position will be based in Adama, Adama Industial Park and will report to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support end-users by trouble-shooting IT systems and software, registering and follow-up on caretaker tickets, provide training to ensure that Digital IT tools are used effectively and become a source of competitive advantage

  • To have professional responsibility and stay current with technological developments, contribute and recommend solutions to ensure Jotun operates with optimised solutions and takes advantage of new technology in existing and new markets.

  • Coordinate with IT vendors in the installation of systems, devices, and components and troubleshooting problems to enable the smooth running of everyday business operations.

  • Be responsible for ensuring relevant maintenance contracts and licenses are maintained and conduct regular reviews to ensure we are compliant.

  • Responsible for all incidents, events, and service requests that are assigned to be resolved and attended to within the service levels dictated at the End to End Framework by regular KPI reporting and monitoring

  • Run improvement initiatives locally, moving users to be more digital than manual in the way of work by conducting training, developing/integrating new solutions and engaging the business, and aligning to global and regional strategies and to ensure that they are carried out in the most efficient and digital way.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field

  • 2 -3 years of work experience in a related field

  • Proficiency in English is required.
