Role purpose: Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the MIS Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the Management Information Systems (MIS) to support data-driven decision-making. The primary focus will be on ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data while providing analytical support to the Sales and Distribution Business Unit.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. Data Management:
o Collect, process, and analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
o Implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
o Maintain and update MIS databases, ensuring data is current and reliable.
2. Reporting and Analysis:
o Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support business operations and decision-making.
o Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable recommendations based on findings.
o Present data and insights to management in a clear and concise manner.
o Provide regular reports and insights to various S&D stakeholder.
o Work with/support regional sales team in analyzing data from trade and other sources to build actionable trade insights.
3. Development and Maintenance of reporting tools:
o Collaborate with IT and other departments to develop and enhance MIS systems and tools.
o Ensure the MIS systems are aligned with business needs and are user-friendly.
o Promptly liaises with IT to resolve any system-related issues impacting reports delivery or integrity of data.
4. User Support and Training:
o Provide training and support to sales team on MIS systems and tools.
o Develop user manuals and guidelines to facilitate effective use of MIS resources.
o Assist sales team in understanding and interpreting data and reports to pick the right insights.
5. Compliance and Security:
o Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.
o Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches.
6. Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in MIS and data management.
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
o Proactively suggest and implement improvements to enhance data management and reporting.

Technical/Professional Qualifications:
• Desired:
o Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
o Proficiency in using relevant MIS and data analysis tools.
o 3 years of experience in MIS, data management, or a related role.
• Optional:
o Professional certification in MIS, data analysis, or a related field (desired).
