The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring the cost-effectiveness and high quality of purchased items. This role involves nurturing positive relationships with suppliers, evaluating various supply options, preparing purchase requests, and maintaining precise records.
MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Develop plans for the procurement of equipment, services, and materials.
- Uphold and apply the company's established procurement policies and procedures.
- Analyze, compare, and evaluate potential products and services for purchase.
- Keep precise records of purchases and pricing.
- Update and maintain supplier details, including qualifications, delivery schedules, and product offerings.
- Foster positive relations with suppliers while negotiating contracts.
- Conduct research to identify and assess potential suppliers.ย
- Generate and deliver reports.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a procurement role or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing-specific software.
- Excellent communication and negotiating abilitiesย
- Proven ability to multitask effectively and handle pressure well.
- Detail-oriented nature is essential.
