To provide assurance to the business on Rating, billing, revenue and cost reporting for all services including GSM services (voice, data, SMS, interconnect, roaming, Top-ups, Loyalty program), Digital Financial Services (DFS), Fixed Services, Digital products, Enterprise services among other products and services. This will be done through end to end (Network to billing) assurance of all service revenues to ensure all leakages are detected within SLA and mitigated in line with Business Assurance policies and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Rating and Billing Assurance
· Proactively identify and report on all areas that are susceptible to Revenue leakage under all service revenue streams
· Implement and monitor Billing Assurance controls in the revenue assurance system
· Ensure that all rating and billing systems are accurately set up and are aligned with the approved business rules to ensure minimal revenue loss.
· Ensure network configuration audits of the key GSM revenue generating elements (MSC, M-PESA G2, NCC, SMSC, USSD & SMPP gateways etc.) are performed with a view of detecting configurations that may lead to revenue leakages
· Perform end to end reconciliation for all revenue streams in liaison with the Billing team and the data clearing house for Roaming related assurance
· Ascertain that all Roaming related products and services are accurately billed and reported.
· Daily monitoring of traffic and reconciliation of the same in the RA system to source systems and timely error management reviews
Products, services & promotions & projects assurance
· Periodic review of the controls and risk assessment to align to current business processes
· Recommend policies and procedures to help identify revenue leakage in all service revenue areas and reduce incidences of revenue loss within the organization.
· Perform proactive Revenue Assurance on all products sold through the distribution channel. Daily tracking and monitoring of the billing process
· Support changes within the organization relating to critical projects and system upgrades by undertaking risk assessment and data migration assurance.
Payments Integrity
· Payment integrity checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of payments including trade commissions and partner revenue share.
· Develop appropriate procedures that will ensure that the organization pays correct and optimal amounts to interconnection partners.
Reporting assurance
· Review completeness and accuracy of information in the management information systems, business intelligence systems and the finance systems.
· Monitoring of the interface between the Retail Management System to the Financial Reporting system (ERP)
· Support the Finance division in achieving complete and accurate daily revenue reconciliation between data warehouse, ERP and RA system.
· Champion deferred revenue reconciliations analysis and support the balance in the General ledger account with the source system data, that is, Voucher management system (UVC) and customer balances data.
Key performance indicators:
· Ensure that the organization does not exceed the defined percentage of revenue / cost exposures in all service revenue streams
· Restrict the time to detect revenue/ cost exposures in all service revenue streams to the defined SLA
· Ensure that the organization does not exceed the defined threshold of customers with provisioning discrepancies
· Ensure 100% resolution for all issues identified with the defined SLA
· Actual and annualized amounts of revenue /cost exposures in all service revenue streams that have been averted within the financial year

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
· A graduate with a degree in Computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, or Commerce.
· Professional certification in Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management or Information Systems will be added advantage
· Relevant post-graduate education is an added advantage
· Have at least 2-5 years’ experience in Assurance, Risk Management and/or Management of Business Process Improvement
· Revenue Assurance Practitioners Certification is an added advantage.
· Experience and knowledge on SQL, script writing, DB knowledge/ data warehousing
· Advanced skills in Microsoft applications including Excel and Power point
· Ability to analyze significant amounts of data and information and distill it to the key points that help Senior Management analyze risk in a given situation.
· Capability to accumulate, summarize and interpret risk reports from business units, support units and assurance units.
· Have strong business acumen and highly developed commercial experience
· Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
